I've just finished working up London but while I was daydreaming sitting at a set of trafiic lights they decided to change from red to green so the car infront pulls away & I decide to follow suit but the car that pulled away must have stalled 5foot away after pulling off! So I slam on the brakes off my merc sprinter & then I hear BANG!! No i didn't hit the car infront. So on goes my hazzerd light's, Switch off the van jump out & check the car that was behind me. There was no damage to the car behind though:blink: So I still go and make sure that he didn't hit me even with there being no damage to his car & he's holding his head in his hands moving hysterically backwards & forwards! So I ask him if he's alright but he can bearly speak but all he's doing is pointing to the side of my van while tears are rolling down his eye's:blink: So I go & check the side of my van and there's a guy holding his nose while blood was on his hands and top:blink::blink:

:DTurn's out the guy thought he would be smart and run between the traffic but some how misgudged how far I actually moved & ran straight into the side of my van:D

I asked him how he felt & he said "like a plonker" :D

Don't think he'll be doing that again in a hurry!

After the guy behind had stopped laughing he got out and said to me. The guy ran straight betwen the car's in the next lane smacked into the side of the van and landed on his arse! Funny enough while the guy tried to tell me this it took him about three minute's as he started laughing again & couldn't stop!:D

Very funy.

not wishing to jump on the band wagon but a very similar event happend to a mate of mine whilst we were serving in belfast back in 1997.

out there we were patroling around the streets doing what squaddies do with all our kit on and one of the team was carring a very heavy piece of kit on his back like a rucksack. we had to cross the road and we made a dash between the traffic, looking the other way to make sure that the traffic was still ok. the lad with the heavy kit timed it to run behind a transit van that was approaching him, however the driver spotted this and when he got level jumped on the brakes and as the running guy was looking the other way ran straight into the side of him:D

We all turned round to see him on his back like a turtle in the middle of the falls road! very funny.
