Jezz
I put a link up for that vid a while back. Nice one! The MKiii Supra R154 5 speed box does mate up to the 2JZ, but I believe you have to use some of the parts from a Mkiv, bell housing, flywheel ect. There's plenty more info if you do a search. garethr
AFAIK, you'll need a 1JZ-GTE bellhousing, JZ flywheel, 1JZ or 7M-GTE clutch and a spigot bearing. ajazyasin has done this conversion (Mk3 R154 to 2JZ-GTE) in a Soarer.
Guest kr tuning
The box mates up to the block no problem ,its a 1jz flywheel I have, it haz 6 bolt holes rather than 8 like the tt ,and if I manage to get the tt flywheel will the 1jz clutch bolt onto the new flywheel ?,the other thing I was thinking of doing was using the tt presure plate and the 1jz friction plate but aparantly the presures are diffrent ,theres a lot of posts about this topic but I cnt find exactly what im looking for ps anyone have a tt flywheel ???? ajazyasin
you need: jzz30 manual bellhousing(this mates r154 to jz series engines). The 1jz flywheel has 8 bolts, not 6. The 7M series engines have 6 bolts. I just bought a complete ORC kit including flywheel to save the bother(and take the power). Plus, there was a horror story on the oz site about a pressure plate or flywheel ripping through the bellhousing and almost taking a guys legs off. This was from mixing and matching. good luck bud:)
Guest kr tuning
Defo a 1jzgte engine with a 6 bolt flywheel mate, and the gearbox from that engine bolts directly on to the 2jzgte engine, spoke to jezz today and think we have it sorted, we will see when the parts arrive
