adam bell
sorry to see your loss mate. maybe you should report the police for not taking the accident seriously enough. if you reported it i amsure there is a time limit on them or the council to get the road cleared up it happened to my dad when he hit diesel on his motorbike

This is the first of me finding out about this. They say they have sent out 5 letters, but I have never recived any. Need to get Bank statments to find out where my cash has been going, then see a solicitor to find out where i stand

colsoop
Never mind, at least you are ok. I would still report the road condition to the police, get it on file that you reported it, then they will have to get someone out to sort it. leaving it like that is criminal in my mind

Need to get Bank statments to find out where my cash has been going, then see a solicitor to find out where i stand Sorry to hear about this but Direct Line are no way going to pay out for your supe, you can tell them you haven't recieved letters but it won't matter, they sent them to the address they had on file for you obviously and it was cancelled a long time ago, if there was a 3rd party involved then as your previous insurer they may have to deal with that. Darragh
Sorry to hear about this but Direct Line are no way going to pay out for your supe,. then whats the point of having fully comp insurance? it annoys me when you pay so much to them scumbags and they pi55 all over you when you need them:diablo:
SupraGirlie
then whats the point of having fully comp insurance? it annoys me when you pay so much to them scumbags and they pi55 all over you when you need them:diablo: Yeah that's fine if you're actually insured, they told him it's been cancelled since june. dangerous brain
Canceled or just not re-insured? There is a huge difference there. If its been actually canceled there would have to be an airtight reason why they did that. Failure to re-insure however they may possibly get away with if you don't have a valid insurance certificate.
Darragh
Yeah that's fine if you're actually insured, they told him it's been cancelled since june. i no that would be a sore kick in the balls alrite lol as i said hope ya get it sorted cass, is the car still in scotland ot r ya back over this side of the pond? hogmaw
Why would they cancel your policy? Why then send you 5 letters to tell you? My only guess is that they were chasing payment from you. Did you check with them and ask them which address they were sending the letters to? Something doesn't add up here.
Chewie
This is going to get very serious cos the police will be throwing the book for driving without insurance. That's the car cruncher!
markssupra
I'm with Direct Line (quickly goes and checks policy). Why would they cancel your insurance? Good luck mate, hope it turns out ok for you.
