Kirk
I'm feeling inventive to give me lil go kart a bit more umth without an engine swap so my question is this will putting a cylinder head off the same but a larger displacement engine for example a 1.4 head on a 1.0 make ANY difference performance or power output?? My guess is probly not but hey its worth a shot

JustGav
All depends on the engine size and type, some are interchangeable such as the honda B20 stuff, but mostly they aren't. Then you start with issues such as valves hitting cylinder walls if the valves are too big. What car are you talking about.

Without having the VW EPG to hand, there are a fair few bits you can swap over such as gearbox's and engines and such. As far as head changes go I seriously doubt it would be worth it. I seem to remember the single point injection isn't really the best thing going as far as a management system goes.... Far cheaper just to buy a different lump and drop it in, honestly... I've been down this road with other engines before and trying to put a frankenstein together is always challenging.
