Chris Wilson
Fresh Windows OS install, fresh Firefox install. it won't remeber this sites password, in fact as soon as the screen changes, I am logged ou. Also in Advanced editing none of the icons show, only text. What's haapened, anyone care to hazard a guess? Thanks

Chris Wilson
Only the UK British spell checker dictionary. Worked fine in the old install... Loses User name and Password as SOON as I log in, until I try and post. then when I set it up again in the big box it sticks until I log out. Still no icons showing. I'd post a screen shot but haven't set up WS-FTP Pro as i have lost the damned password. WHY didn't I leave it all alone... ?
Chris Wilson
I am wondering if it's a MKIVSUPRAS site problem, everything worked fine on every other site, and despite me doing ZILCH the icons and stuff have returned, no reboots, software changes, nothing... Still got a none remembered user name and password though, that works fine on a dozen other sites. Is there any site problem?
Chris Wilson
Sorted! My fault, but damned odd. I initially manually typed in the connection as http://www.mkivsupras.net/vbb after the fresh install and it connected fine, I then made link to my desktop. I suddenly realised that replying to an e-mailed report of a reply to one of my posts logged me in fine, with user name and password saved. So I looked and saw THAT link was mkivsupra.net/vbb without the "s" on the end. Why do both URL's connect, but only one works properly?? Thanks. Hermit
I'd guess it's just that the 'I am logged in' cookie is from mkivsupra.net, so Firefox refuses to send it back to mkivsupras.net. It doesn't log me in if I use that url - nothing wrong with your firefox installation by the sounds of it
Pete
Yes. In that case the site would be better configured to forward requests from the 's' domain to the actual default domain rather than run as an alias.
