Problem with in-car DVD player

I've just fitted a DVD player to the car but there's a slight hitch. It will play DVD soundtracks but doesn't display the video.

 

I think this might be because I didn't connect up the parking sensor wire from the unit to the handbrake wiring harness. Arse!!

 

If I connect the wire a ground source will this solve the problem or do I need to do something else? I don't want to connect it to the handbrake, partly because I never use it.

If you just ground that wire it should work fine mate

yeah earth the wire, , mines is the same its supposed to be so as you can't play video an drive at the same time, stuff that, just earth it an all will be fine

As i started a thread the other day ALL U HAVE TO DO IS EARTH IT , as per advice from the guys on here, take of the center console where there gear lever is, there are screws all around the place, Trim a bit of the parking sensor wire, unloosen a screw, put the wire under the screw and then tighten the screw ontop,......ur dvd player will work then.....
