magictorch
What bovs are people using on their single turbos? Just about to buy one but not sure whether to get a HKS Racing bov or the HKS SSQV... Jamie
Ric
Racing, depending on what boost you will be running i dont think the SSQV on its own will be up to the job
magictorch
Wont be running over 1.2 bar yet as it might kill my autobox:eyebrows: Thought it would probably be best to get a HKS Racing but havent seen much feedback on them yet?? Chris Wilson
There's absolutely no reason not to adapt a stock one. I never run one at all on turbo engines, and have never found any reason to use one other than to quieten the noise if it's plumbed back into a silenced intake. Gaz6002
I did a lot of research on this and eventually ended up buying the new SSQV instead of the racing. I'd prefer not to have one at all though to be honest.
Nic
The new SSQV and SSQV Racing are both up to the job, I personally use the older model HKS Racing BOV Type II on mine. You will need a weld on flange to fit either of these. Give me a shout Jamie if I can help.

gaz1
Anyone else using the HKS Racing? mine is on its way. i believed the standard ssqv would not hold the pressure at around 600bhp, some people use 2,
uk-rich
i got a load of stuff from dusty recently and was going to order a HKS racing bov, he suggested it would be much better to run a ssqv unless you are running high boost levels i have 2 ssqv on my set-up now
Gaz6002
AFAIK the SSQV opens at a lower boost pressure. The HKS racing may not open at a low enough pressure to work effectively on a small single. Thats why I chose the SSQV for my T61.
