RobSheffield
Lots of burnouts? Who fitted the diffs?
dr_jekyll
i fit the diffs myself , not a fan of burnouts , altho the car was baught as a toy and speds alot of time going sideways. but still for a fully reconditiond diff whith new 80/90 castrol oil to last just over three months is not good
JustGav
I've seen NA diffs taking a pounding and come out the otherside just fine.. I'd hazard a guess at something else causing the fault.
dr_jekyll
any possible suggestions ?
Guest drutin
howzit is it a single spinner ? or a torsen lsd ? as if its a single spinner thats probably why, what happens to a single spinner is the pin through the side/spider gears breaks the roll pin then it rotates then elongates in the differential then the side/spider gears flog out causing noise usually a small clunk to begin with you really need a torsen or best a clutch type lsd later glen
