heartworm
Just got my renewal through from Adriun Flux, they tol dme on th ephone the other day but the paper just around, Its gone up to £980, thats more than my TT was last year, and a lot more than the £620 that they based my refund on when I changed my car to the N/A, which was only 10 weeks ago at most. Not had any claims in the last year, not got any points so I cant really understand why it would go up. very frustrating.

I pay £389.00. 33 years of age, no accidents, no points BUT no NCB either! H.
heartworm
There still cheaper than anywhere else, i find it rather frustrating though as I expected it do go down having more NCB, and a year older. 22, and frustratingly 23 a fortnight after my renewal is due. supra steveo
take it off the road till your 23 then or just dont insure it for 2 weeks and leave it in the garage till your 23 dont think it will make much difference though i would just change insurance companies if I were you

Wow, looking at it i just realised how crap public transport is.

Snooze
The problem with insuring minority cars like ours is that any affect in the market can have a bigger swing on insurance prices. Consider my car, for example. There's so few like it in the UK that I wouldn't be surprised if each individual write off of someone elses directly affected my insurance! That said, you have a point about the 10-week thing. I suspect that the "refund" amount is probably a red herring - who knows how mid-term quotes are calculated!? Definitely worth giving them a call - whilst the initial quotes are driven by scary computer algorithms, they (the "proper" insurance companies, not the far-east-call-centre ones) nearly always have authority to negotiate better deals (ie. "override" the computer algorithms with more realistic quotes) - that's why most of these companies come up with silly quotes to start with (from the computer-generated numbers), but can usually bring their prices down to match their competitors.
