Homer
No offence but Sky do seem expensive, never been able to beat elephant, if you phone elephant they always seem to give more discount. Elephant mirrored my NCB. £500 for UK Spec Supra and i'm 24yr with 3pts, 4yrs NCD, 2 claims in last 5yr, 10,000 miles a year. God help you if you ever need to make a claim with elephant, they are utterly hopeless. I've had experience of them before. There is a reason they can quote so cheap - they don't play fair if it comes to a claim.

There is a reason they can quote so cheap - they don't play fair if it comes to a claim. Had two claims with elephant, both were good and settled quick. Only problem with elephant is they don't do agreed value and have indian call centres! But they do have call centre in Canada which is good to deal with. They were 33% cheaper than Sky last year and after a few phone calls Sky matched that quote. Really bugs me that insurance companies are happy to make such a reduction in their premiums, but only after I've done the legwork. I'm reluctant to insure the Supra with Elephant as Homer is not the first person I've heard say things along those lines: God help you if you ever need to make a claim with elephant, they are utterly hopeless. I've had experience of them before. There is a reason they can quote so cheap - they don't play fair if it comes to a claim. Had two claims with elephant, both were good and settled quick. I've never reached an Indian or Canadian call centre when ringing Elephant - always British. And they never know what a Supra is which always inspires confidence For that reason I'm willing to stay with Sky, they just need to bring their quote down a tad
heartworm
Just tried getting a quote there, they were the second company i tried, but they were still £400 more than my renewal quote, under the same terms. Did offer me TPFT instead though :S Been offered £760 inc all mods on the car.
jamesmark
Just renewed with Sky, I tried Adrian Flux who bet Sky straight away with their first attempt. Sky did the beat the quote by £8. (wow) Two reasons why I stayed with Sky and I mean the only reasons why I stayed, is the hassle of proving my no claims discount to AF and the fact the advisor @ AF was far to pushy for my liking. I feel Sky are no longer competitive for my circumstances, the premium was a lot dearer than I payed last year (AF woudl only quote me once). However with mods on the car I have a limited choice on where to go for insurance.
Homer
Just renewwed with Sky for the 3rd year. Their inital renewal was a bit high so got some other quotes, the best being £315, called Sky and they matched it. Well happy with that and they have provided a 2nd quote for the Supra which no other companies can match.
gordy07
This is my first year with sky and so far i am impressed, they matched my cheapest quote and seem reasonable

Chingy
no joy again from sky , stated that unable to give a quote for supras worth over £15K not much use to those who own a top end supra then looks like a 2nd year in a row with Adrain Flux

I didn't even mention agreed value with sky, they simply couldn't give me a quote because I valued the car over £15K with it being a Supra

TopgunTT
Been with them the last 2 years now as sky don't give new private policy supra owners agreed value, And if you didn't have this cover and something should happen you would get no where near what the supra was worth. For that little extra on your premium it's a must, And they came in better than Adrian Flux.

Benjy
Thanks for trying guys. Last year you wouldn't insure me, so £1491 F/C isn't too bad I suppose, just not as good as I've been quoted. I'll try you guys again next year.
