paul_y3k
Got this from another forum, not sure how legit it is but (not being a sky customer myself), but it looks like they are changing your terms of service ...: In the latest "SKYMAG" magazine (Dec 2007) There is a a small piece of paper inserted within the magazine which has a title on the top - "IMPORTANT: NOTICE OF CHANGES TO HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION" Basically I've attached a scan of the rear of the insert to read for yourself. This is "very" naughty in my opinion, however, if you ring the number shown and select option 5, then 5 again then option 1 I think it is, then you can opt out of this ludicrous underhand way of sharing your personal information. Putting the notice on an A5 piece of paper and including it as an insert is particularly crafty, particularly when most people either throw the magazine out or at the very least the inserts... I think it's a premium number you have to ring as well, however, I did get through tonight within a minute or so, so not too bad. This is gathering momentum so god only knows how long it will take before your hanging on the phone for an hours at a time waiting to be put through. robin
You would hope it would be opt in or at the very least a freephone number. Glad not to be sky customer anymore.
Havard
I'll give it a couple of weeks and then I won't be either!! They really piss me off with their attitude. I recently had a problem and clocked up £20 in phone bills due to an error with their system!! I will be changing after Christmas as I don't like the way they operate. That 08702 number is a pain in the arse as you can be hanging on for 15 minutes!! H.

Safely Insured
I am looking into sky at the mo what do virgin offer? is it the same? or a simular service? I pay £30 a month for broadband, TV and a phone line... quite reasonable. You get a few live premiership ganes which is a bonus, motors TV as well! My problems (and they are MAJOR problems) with Virgin Media is the 6 week wait I had for installation as apparently it was a 2 man job (although one chap did it in an hour) and then the large hole they left in my wall after installation. Their customer service is also the worst I have encountered, ever! Ollie Sky Insurance
