hogmaw
I've been a few times and I really like it there, for those of you considering emigration (I think there are lots considering the amount of threads on the subject) then you might want to consider it. The only bad thing is language and distance from home, but nowhere is perfect is it? People are polite, everything works and is on time, prices are much cheaper than you think, and everywhere you look there a lots and lots and lots of cute japanese girls Not to mention the roads, I didn't see any traffic jams. Nor speed cameras, nor police, in fact there weren't even any bumps or potholes whatsoever. I did see several scoobies/evos/skylines/soarers even aristos - but no supras?! At night the Tokyo skyway was a driving dream, like a free for all speedway, where the only rule is to go as fast as you can. Go there if you get the chance! Nick
Not to mention the roads, I didn't see any traffic jams. The traffic is a nightmare, and there's camera's of all sorts EVERYWHERE as well as unmarked cars. Don't get me started on the cost of the toll roads either. At least petrol is cheaper. The police are also *really* cracking down on speeding too, especially in Kanagawa. The days of Wangan racing are over for all but the brave or the stupid. I've heard the police are also heading out into the mountains with video cameras to put a stop to the drifting. Instant ban for a year and a retest - which is very expensive and very, very strict. This has all come about in the last year or so. I rarely see any Supra's, I think they've all been exported to the UK! I still really like it here though, and the women make up for a lot ;)It's by no means paradise though.
