Daston
Toshiba have paid off both Paramount and DreamWorks to only release films on HD DVD for the next 1.5 years! That means no transformers on Blu-ray however Mr Bay seems pi55ed with this and is looking for another studio for the next one.

JustGav
what the difference between blu-ray and HD-DVD apart from one uses a blue ray ? They are the VHS and betamax of the optical world. To the end user I don't think it makes a blind bit of difference...

Yeah ,this sucks.I've had to go out and buy a normal DVD(Transformers) for the first time since I got a PS3:(
Ark
There's just one problem with the HD formats - most films are still only encoded in MPEG2 even on the fancy formats, which is normal DVD quality, which means the high definition stuff is pointless. Matt H
Which one will win out tho in the end? cheapest probably, if the VHS story is to be followed
Muffleman
Personally I think Bluray will still come out on top, simply because of the number of PS3s that will sell. Great, I'll have to find room for another box under the telly
