carl0s
I would like an SLR.. we went to that Ernest Hemmingway-area bridge in Ronda, Spain and it was just gobsmacking, but really needed some super-wide lens to photograph properly.

JamesC
Got a reply off her today just saying that nothing is wrong and it takes 3-5 days for the supplier to dispatch it once she has paid them. So guess i'll just wait and see what happens.
CJ
I would be more worried about the end supplier actually supplying a "proper" camera (as opposed to fake) than I would be about the Ebay seller shafting you.
JamesC
Can you get fake cameras? Is is just like a 350d case with cheap copy internals?

JamesC
Well at least she's giving refunds. She must have only actually sold one of the Panasonic Lumix cameras as there's only one positive feedback for it. Dont know how many she actually sold tho. There's a 350d on there saying there is a problem with transaction too.

It is a Christmas present for my g/f. I have to buy a perfume or something else just in case.

wrenlea
Can someone recommend a camera for professional wildlife photography for me. Macro ability and extreme long shots (tree tops) Rich It is not so much the camera as the lense. I have a Canon 30D which is really excellent camera. The 40D has taken over from it but you can still get a 30D If you do not want to spend so much the 400D is still a really good camera. The focussing on Cannon cameras is almost instant so would be good for wildlife "capture". Once you have the camera if you want to get really serious you start looking at lenses and these range in price from £xx.00 to £xxxx.
Fifty
Thanks for that; I came across my old Nikon F301 and 500mm lenses the other day; still in the bag 13 years later and still working lol will now go digital; used to do loads of wildlife stuff in Africa and wud like to start again in Costa Rica - nature throws up endless photo opportunities ! I will check out that camera thx Rich
wrenlea
An interesting aspect of the lenses on these, that you should be aware of, is that there is a multiple of 1.6 comparing to a film 35mm camera. Thus if you got, for example a zoom lense 70 to 300mm it would equate to a 480mm lense at the zoom end.
