imi
Pretty sure they can Imi, I think Cobra use Recaro/Bride pattern. I hope they use the correct one.....the cobra ones were shite. made out of such thick steel that is not just bloody heavy (defying the purpose of lightweight carbon seats) but an absolute nightmare to enlarge the holes to get them to align properly. seriously, the one responsible for the subframes should be fired. And the person whos idea it is to mount the supra pretensioner to the subframe needs to be checked into the hospital to get their head examined. I seriously need to source other pretensioners that have a longer "arm" so that it is practical to fasten the seatbelts.
FuR
Hi Paul You say 5% discount for the recaros, what price can you do them for please, same as the ones pictured above ta If anyone wants any Recaros let me know, I'll do a 5% discount on them. They are the best seats around, comfortable and top quality. Ta
FuR
anyone got a link to these seats at all? are these still the best recaros to go for? thanks I am loving these seats at the moment and only 4.5KG per seat, not cheap though
Paul Whiffin
anyone got a link to these seats at all? are these still the best recaros to go for? thanks You could try my website.... http://www.whifbitz.co.uk/seats.htm Can also supply Cobra seats now as well with Bride frames instead of the rubbish they supply! bolarbag
I need to try your bride fixed mount subframes can you get a hold of them? Their for Recaro Pole Positions, Corbreu or whatever the spelling are poor quality in my opinion, I like the Missanos but again the durability is pretty bad - at 750 a pop its not what you would expect The Recaros are the best fit I've ever sat in, the Brides are far too Narrow and I'm a 32-34waist! Pole positions are nice and plain, SPG's are slightly more forgiving and have those shoulder grips, both similar and very good seats
Paul Whiffin
Yep, sure can, about 3 weeks delivery time normally, £105 + VAT each. Recaro's are the best seats as far as I'm concerned, quality and comfort wise, you pay for what you get in this world like most things. imi
Just wanted to update you all on the seats saga. Cobra have gone out of their way to rectify all the problems. The Owner of the company is a really sound bloke who is a fellow petrolhead like us and sympathizes with all the issues that I have had with the seats. They have provided me with NEW seats as my previous ones got damaged slightly due to the constant rubbing against the door cards and the seatbelt tensioner. They sourced a pair of bride frames (thx to whifbitz) and have used those as templates for their new frames which are now going to go into production. If any of you are interested in cobra seats, you will need to get in touch with Cobra direct to get an update on the availability of the newly designed frames, else get a pair of bride frames that work like a charm. All in all, it took 4 months, but the result was definitely worth the pain, cause hopefully once and for all, we have now fixed the problem with the frame fittings for the mkiv Supra. paul mac
good effort mate, i would defo have complained if i had purchased mine new but as they were second hand i thought they would just laugh at me, its easy to come whinging and whining on a forum about stuff that we buy but its another thing to actually get off your a**e and do something about it, so kudos to you
hoff
I spoke to mark at Cobra on Friday. First thing he says is, "do you know Imi":d He said that the subframes have been sorted now and will take 2-3 weeks to order. Im actually ordering my Misanos (the s version as Im poor:d) this afternoon. Im only 30 mins away from Telford and they want me to go down there for them to be fitted as he thinks that they are 1st ones since Imi:) I'l post an update and pics in a couple of weeks to let you know how they are:)

hoff
Have done Imi:) I spoke to Big mark (the MD I think) last week, and the other Mark yesterday to order. They should have the frames ready in a couple of weeks as the order has gone to their engineer to manufacture them. Then I'll pull a sickie to get them fitted at Cobra. They are very eager to check them so that in the future they know the frames fit well:)
