imi
Was thinking about either of the two seats. CORBEAU BOSS http://www.whifbitz.co.uk/images/parts/corbeau/boss.jpg OR CORBEAU CARRERA http://www.dcp-shop.co.uk/buy-car-accessories/images/carr1.jpg CORBEAU TARGA http://www.whifbitz.co.uk/images/parts/corbeau/targa.jpg Which one would you recommend? Are the Subframes for these easily available? I wonder whether they come in Leather - and personally, would you bother with leather or is the cloth good enough. what's the best place to get hold of these? Sean1933
I would go with the Targa's personally. My mate had the Carrera's in his clio sport and they didnt seem very durable, you could feel the wire from the middle of the seat on your mid back after about a year of use. Saying that though i am sure it could easily be fixed with some extra padding . Corbeau are just around the corner from me so they can make any frame for any car if requiried. Bride are pretty good but you just cant beat Recaro's in my book.

imi
UPDATE. I decided to go with Cobra Seats which I now have. They look really good however. 2 out of 5 of the bolt holes on the sub-frames dont marry up at all - which is shocking. The sub-frames weigh a tonnes. No idea what to do with the selt-belt pretensioners...how do I get the stock supra ones fitted to the seats? If not the stock ones, then which ones.. Find it strange for Cobra to sell Supra sub-frames that dont bloody fit.....
paul mac
oh bugger sorry IMI just read your pm, i wonder if the mods could tag my thread onto this to keep it all together http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=146277
imi
went for the cobras... what an absolute bitch to install.....I can see why the UK is going down the pan. the subframes were made by a blind idiot....two of the holes were out by atleast an inch. they say that the pre-tensioners need to be mounted to the subframe.... anyone with an ounce of intelligence will realise that by mounting them to the subframes, the seatbelts will need to be fastened well below the normal position - far harder to get it in there....bloody impractical to say the least. I called up cobra and the "engineer" was busy with customers.....2 hrs of continuous calling I finally get hold of the "engineer" - after losing my rag completely, only for him to say "I am 2nd guessing here as I have never installed one of these seats before so your guess is as good as mine" At that point I had nothing more to say to them other than hang up - politely obviously. Seats look fantastic, however anyone thinking of aftermarket seats - please please please try them out in someone elses car first and only then decide to ditch the extremely well JAPANESE engineered JAPANESE seats even though they might be 15 years old. Rant over - the topic is not closed as I will write them a very detailed letter about their shocking service and their sheer incompetence.
