Very nice indeed, thats much further back than the 2JZ sits

Sorry to be bugging you with questions, but I have one on the gear level. Thats presumably a custom made mount, but it seems to sit about 1-1.5 inch further forward than the stock shifter, does it engage 1-3-5 okay? Can you reach it okay (maybe you have long arms :D ).

seriously if the gearstick is an inch further forward,do you think its going to be harder to drive...NO...

Nah, it's not an issue, just wondered if it fitted within the stock panels okay. I'm fairly tall so reach isn't a problem, just getting thoughts together for my conversion :)

Always good to see projects like this in such detail, thanks for the pics and feedback!

  • 2 weeks later...

just got to bolt on the carb

fit fuel reg

fit fuel filter

fit fuel pump

and wire the starter and alternator up

and make exhaust

thats pretty much it...

the only other bits is am waiting for a carbon cowl to come from usa,as have decided to use the victor junior air gap race manifold,so the carb sits 3 " higher than normal, which means out the hood,i can use a lower manifold BUT this would destroy around 30+ hp...its gonna look evillllll for sure...
