sykick
Hi All, I need some advice on my airbox lid. One of the plastic clips has broken off of the top of the lid. I want to get a new one to ensure a good seal around the filter. Where can I get one for the j-spec, and is it the same as the uk-spec one? rgds, Marcus
Ian C
Um - I would have to say your local Toyota dealer? Can you repair the clip with superglue? -Ian

sykick
I can't repair it as I don't have the bit that broke off. I have been to the toyota dealer and he showed me one that looked nothing like my one. Next please...... rgds, Marcus
Guest Martin F
Making the assumption that you have a TT, the part number is 17705-46100 and is the same for a J-spec and a UK spec. If you look at the attached file i'm assuming it's the part that is labelled 17705 that you need. I would be extremely suprised if any dealer had one in stock.air cleaner.zip

Matt Harwood
I was at Eurospec on Monday getting some bit's for my car. They're breaking a Supra at the moment and they had the complete airbox inside the car. Try giving them a call on 01276 670628. - They do mailorder. AJI
The first time I tried to take my airbox lid off I did the exact same thing. I thought the damn thing opened up on a hinge from the bottom and ended up snapping one of the fasteners. I tried super glue but it didn't last long. I have now simply removed the box lid and used elastic bands to hold the panel filter in place. I am now getting more air-flow into the filter and there seems to be a bit more low end torque coming from the engine. It's also just slightly louder aswell. Good enough result in the end.
