Police speeding - hypocritical or what?

Silver umarked (barr small Devon And Cornwall Police badge on the rear quater) Mondeo ST went whizzing off in front of me today as we came out of a roadworks 50 at start of M5 south, I was in a new astra not the supe, he was deffo going at least 80, 85 then got to another 50 on the M5 near Exeter, I slowed to 50 like I always do, he pottered through about 60ish again no real rush but still speeding, then pulled of the junction for Honiton and casually pulled up to the lights. He had no blues or siren, wan't chasing anyone and had no real cause to do it. I see it all the time as I spend a lot of time out on the road for my job, hence being careful with my speed as I value my license.

How can they fine so many people for something they freely do themselves? I have a few police mates and they all admit to doing such activity - it's just plain wrong?

Oh and no I'm not sour cos I just got done or something, I have only ever had 3 points, and they went years ago. It just annoys me that they enforce something that effects everyone in a big way, but break the law themselves?????

NOT FAIR

Yeah, but they didn't *make* the law and they didn't cause the dumbass 100% focus on anyone going over an arbitrary speed limit to the detriment of any other form of road safety and in some aspects other areas of law enforcement. It's all bullshit handed down from on high, be it chiefs, ACPO, or Das Govonment. So get angry at them instead :)
