osso
I dont get it, why is the teacher to blame?! after all, she didnt stick a tag or label on the bear with the name Mohammed... it was the kids, so why are the kids not being charged with the offence? perhaps the teacher was a muppet? Thorin
perhaps the teacher was a muppet? I consider that an offence to my faith. I am a devout Henson.

Scoboblio
So why is it ok to call a living, breathing person Mohammed, but not a teddy bear?

Matt H
So why is it ok to call a living, breathing person Mohammed, but not a teddy bear? my thoughts too, surely a human being has more chance of causing harm and suffering than a bear, so it should be the other way around! Bobbeh
Surely she named the bear that, as people would name their kids, its just a name, rather than suggest that the bear is the Prophet!?
Ark
The worst part is, she was dobbed in by another teacher. Talk about solidarity amongst the teaching faculty

Matt H
Any bets on whether she will turn up dead like that comic strip writer who was killed for his comedy images depicting mohammed?
Class One
I dont get it, why is the teacher to blame?! after all, she didnt stick a tag or label on the bear with the name Mohammed... it was the kids, so why are the kids not being charged with the offence? perhaps the teacher was a muppet? Probably because the kids were under her charge. She ultimately has to bear some responsibility for that. In locum parentis and all that. that's pathetic Why? What a joke, blody idiots Why? this is crazy!! Why? You have to remember that she is a teacher working at an English school in a Muslim country. Just because we have a degree of tolerance in our society doesn't mean that there should be some reciprocation by the Sudanese. "Khartoum attorney office opens a claim under article 125 of the criminal law (insult of faith and religions) against a British national female teacher. Whlst I agree that it is harsh compared to the laws of this country, and I am in no way advocating the reaction of the authorities in Sudan, but when in Rome and all that..... Dragonball
Perhaps it is our laws that require changing and not theirs? just a thought...

lexsum
it is a mad world after all. as for the when in rome - that's balls. the uk should take action and insist she is released into our custody to return to the uk (if she wishes) failing which sanctions should be threatened. you know there was a time we protected our people around the world. Angarak
... you know there was a time we protected our people around the world. We can't even protect our people in our own country thanks to all the bullshit we have to put up with....so I wouldnt get my hopes up of having any help from abroad.
