RedM
We currently have a Netgear DG834Gv2 router that doesn't seem to be working correctly. We've been looking at Netgear's RangeMax models but have read conflicting reports about how well they handle intereference etc. Any ideas?

MrRalphMan
I've had two NG routers. The first was flawless, then I went with Sky for my BB and the gave me a DG834 something or other and it's a large pile of poop.
RedM
I've had two NG routers. The first was flawless, then I went with Sky for my BB and the gave me a DG834 something or other and it's a large pile of poop. That seems to be the problem with Netgear (router in general?). For some it's the best thing since sliced bread while others with the same model can't get it working at all. I've got no idea what to do. Do I buy a new router and hope it sorts it or just keep plugging away changing one setting at a time (it's a PITA that the NG stuff needs a reboot after each change)? Fed up. MrRalphMan
I'm sure someone on here can lend you one to try at the very least. I've the good NG sitting at home if you want to try it.. No idea where you are though.

That's what I need. I'm big into 'it just works'. Mr. WSB2 has very kindly offered to send me a router. Fingers crossed for that. If not I'm going back to dial-up. That'll learn 'em. robin
For average normal home use I would get a belkin. They are solid and have a lifetime warrenty. Not always the best features or prices though.
