Well thats what i do anyway.... using manu mode is fine it wont damage the box as your are just taking control of when the gear is changed. Manu mode is a bit more fun but i dont think there is a benefit of quicker gear changes when using it... i wait to be corrected. Could be wrong though. When I use manu mode, my autobox still kicks down. Chatting to Hoff a few weeks back, he said his doesn't. Anyone any ideas why? He's got an NA, mine's a UK. Can't say as I've ever hit the redline in 3rd gear on the roads I'm sure I've read that autobox thread before, now that you mention it.
