juanchan
It won't put your insurance up, but the new policy for the new car will have 0 years NCB. If you insure it with the company you insure the Supra with, they may "mirror" the NCB. Basically, they say you've got a policy that's equivalent to having the 4 years NCB, but it would actually be 0.
mplavery
i have a second car.im with sky insurance, and they mirror my no claims bounes so its a bit cheaper. i have a 306 TD. Great run around car, and its group
colsoop
It actually worked out cheaper due to running a frugal car. Speak to your insurance company to see if they will match your no claims on a second car.
Konrad
Give call to those people: AON 01384 552670 And actually put SUPRA as a second car on classic insurance. Insure small banger somewhere else (A-Plan) and you will get great price on Supra. Or if Supra is your first car, insure other one in AON. Ariana recently got quote for 419 pounds on Supra, although she is over 30 years old and have 1 year of NCB.

Great run around car, and its group 5 I do the same with SKY and the Escort, it works out cheaper than driving the Supra every day and as I build up NCB on the second policy (hopefully!) it should continue to get cheaper in the future. Carl_S
It's a bit sad in the age of low carbon and shit, but im going to hang on to my old car as a cheap runaround. unless someone offers me what I paid for her. That way, i will really appreciate the supra, and use her when i need to. So what if i pay two lots of tax and insurance and MOT's. We only life once right? danhicks22
yeh think i will give them a call - i'm with 'Bell' who are part of Admiral...will see what they can offer i think I'm 23 with one years ncb and I tried doing a multiple car quote with admiral (2 on one policy) and they wanted to charge me £700 for a 1993 1.4 litre 106 diesel. They also quoted me £900 for a UK Supra. Don't know about Bell doing multiples - that put me off asking. I'm sure that doesn't help, but I like to share

They usually insure classic cars, but also insuring your second/weekend car no problem.
Supragal
A lot of people will do you a mirrored policy. Try Sheltons on 01276 34637 (short number)
Glosphil
I insure 3 cars. My sensible runaround car is an astra diesel and costs 120 quid a year. My TT supra costs 450 a year. My boxster costs nearly 700 a year. So I can insure the supe and astra for less then the porsche.
hogmaw
Sky would only give me 1 year NCB for my second car, even though I have FULL ncb with my Supra?!?!

AJI
stricktly speaking if you buy an everyday run around type of car as extra, your overall insurance should ALWAYS be cheaper as it means you are not driving the risk in your Supra, as the risk is shared between both cars (from the insurers point of view)
Paul R
I've got a 306hdi as my second car, costs about 300 quid with SKY insurance with 2Y NCB on the second car and 7 years on my main policy. Paul.

I am the sole driver and I can only be in one car or the other and will only do the same total mileage. Just with the focus some of its in a group 7 car and not the supra. Still ended up costing more. There is also a increased risk of theft, fire vandals or hit and run etc as you will have 2 cars parked up instead of 1.
