That sort of sums up why.

Is that a factual statement or are you just posting shite? Do your research on what Scotland/Wales has given the world before you post utter verbal diarrhea. We are part of the UK, it is statements like your that cause a devide.

I notice how you both conveniently missed off Alex's smilies when you quoted him.

This comment actually made me laugh out loud. Like Alex's comment go up to Scotland when there is an English match on and you will see how narrow minded and uneducated your comment is (awaits the "I have been to Scotland" claims. Pubs and clubs are always packed with football supporters all supporting England if they are playing.

I've never been to Scotland, I know of several scots who always cheered on the opposition though.

that made me laugh. im an englishman whos lived in scotland for 30 years and every time england play everyone suuports the other team.i was in work while the game was on and every time croatia scored a cheer went up

No quite obviously you're wrong, you quite plainly only claim to live in Scotland as no Scot would ever cheer on the opposition. Admit it, you live in Swindon don't you? ;)

Anyway, that was a shocking performance, I think Wrighty summed it up best, I've never seen so many England players play so badly in a game! Bridge for me stood out as the comedy donkey of the match.

Why do people hate England so much??

I always support the other nations of Britain, maybe it's cos I'm grown up!!

I support the other home nations too (given that I don't really follow football at all). I really wanted Scotland to qualify, they deserved to.

I think it's optimistic/unrealistic that everyone in England expects their team to practically win the world cup every 4 years (and genuinely think they're in with a good chance), when the reality paints a very different picture. I hate the way a big win is expected.

baz, you seem to have a lot of hatred inside you. :D Let it go, release yourself from the pain. :D

Well, i am unsure as to what has hacked me off more, England going out with a whimper or the complete lack of support for the English side in this thread.

I will give you that i follow football and thus the game was important to me. I dont on the other hand really follow rugby or cricket but if England is on i will watch it a cheer our boys on.

The game was horrid, why in the wide world of sports go with an untested goal keeper at a vital match, why leave it until half time to make subs when it was quite obvious once we were two down something had to change. Gerrard and Lampard may well have been beating their chests prior to the match saying they were going to die out there for their country but i saw little of that, i saw the usual Gerrard and Lampard show. Now i think about it i cant think of a game where either of them turned the game.

Becks comes on, doesnt change the game as he is not fully fit but he again set up a goal. His cornering was better than the others and at least he looked like he was trying, he tackled back which is more than Lampard did.

End of the day and we are out, we paid for all those draws early doors and went into last nights game with a make shift defence.

Would we have drawn the games if Mcclown could see the end of his nose and chosen not to make a example of Becks to try and make a name for himself. Not played Gerrard and Lampard as they quite clearly cant play together, having one of them on the bench would have been fine. We have always played better 4-4-2 with a defensive mid-fielder, why try anything else other than in practice matches and certainly dont try 3-5-2 against a team who hadnt lost at home for years.

Dont pay them £150,000 for turning up, pay them their expenses as playing for their country should be reward enough. If you need to pay them win bonuses.

Sorry for the rant but i am fecked off in the style of big.

:soap:

:yeahthat: Annoys me big time when those with inferiority complexes start with the childish taunts when England lose. I used to wish all the other home nations well because it was nice to see them win - I don't bother anymore because with the "I love to see England lose" crowd, it seems to be very rarely mutual.

I do hope you realise I was piss taking with the lesser country bit...

Not enough smilies on the end Alex.

Anyway, I hate Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland, they're all scum and I hope they lose every single sporting event like they deserve. :innocent: :p ;) :eyebrows:  :D

Not Republic of Ireland though, I like them.

All four home nations fail to qualify. you expect it from Wales and Ireland - there just struggeling.

Scotland have come along in the past 2 years. they have the right manager and set of players.

England are expected to qualify, no mater how hard the group is. They have some of the nest players in the world in there side. 99% are in the top flight. where as Wales team is made up of first and second even third devision players.

For once, all the teams are as bad as each other - and I can no longer get the piss taken because Wales failed to qualify :eyebrows:

That was just utter shite. 15 mins of showing quality when they got back into the game but why oh why sit back? I know it was tiring chasing the game for so long on that pitch but time and time again they have dropped a bollock in the 2nd half by sitting back. Im gutted.

Now correct me if I'm wrong, but you can only edit your post for the first two minutes without it saying the post has been edited. Your post was made after that.

When the confirmation post came through it was minus the smilies - hence my comment that they weren't there in the initial post but added afterwards.
