How not to spend a Sunday afternoon

Recommended Posts

I've just spent three and a half hours in casualty in agony!

I bent down to put the baby in his chair and heard and felt a loud crack, the pain in my back then dropped me to the floor! I was on the landing nowhere near a phone. H. was out 'supra shopping'. Luckily my four year old was feeling co-operative and brought me a phone so I was able to phone my mum and dad who came round and managed to get me on my feet (of a fashion). Basically I've either popped a disc or torn a muscle and it hurts like hell:( The plus side is the nice doctor has given me some very nice pain killers so I'm in a warm fuzzy place right now:)

H. has been so supportive his first question was "Does that mean I'm not getting any"

typical male, well done H for keeping the side up :D

glad to hear you're ok though Vicki, how do you find out what it is?

Doc said take the pills and try to keep mobile, if it doesn't ease in two or three days or if the pain gets worse go and see the GP.

Hope you get it fixed asap Mrs H. Backs can / are a bloody nightmare. One point - always, always get a second opinion.

All the best.

Andy.

Hope your feelin better soon Vic, but I'd play on it as much as you can...get H to run round after you for a bit... remember the pain is really bad!!:eyebrows:

PS did the doctor not prescribe for you to have sole responsibility for the TV remote to aid your recovery;)

Take care :)
