Cos you would run it to full power in front of some wall wouldnt you!

 

Just like you would sit a car in gear, clutch up, in front of a wall with the brakes on 'to test it was ok' and then act surprised when it smashes into the wall!

 

makes alot of sense actually

 

When you do high power runs (full take off power) you never have the airplane into wind (ie disturbed airflow)as you run risk stalling the engine high egt etc etc, having a big brick wall in front off you would elminate this problem completly

 

When running a engine (well me personally always make sure i have my feet onthe brake pedals ready in case
