Fuel Strike

Just park a tanker outside your house.... no problem then ;)

I remember the last time the fuel supply was cut off. No cars on the road, and the cars that were on the road only doing 30 on dual carriageways.

I had an LPG powered Jag that I refuelled at home. It was like my own private road network LOL

The look on people's faces as I sped past at ?? leptons. Priceless :)

We'll see. Meanwhile, it's worth topping up the cans I think! ;)

Yes i will do too......... Some action needs to be taken because its gone toooo far.

So, just to clear it up for me, please.....

You're pissed off with petrol prices and think something should be done..... so you're going to get down to the petrol station good and early before everyone else to buy as much as you can?

Yeah! That'll show 'em!

I'm all for a good demonstration against the prices.

I just want to be prepared. You don't go to war without supplies do you?

Maybe I'm missing the point.

My understanding is : the cost of oil has gone up. Hence the cost of petrol has gone up.

What exactly are people protesting against? When the cost of oil goes up, petrol companies should not put their prices up? Doesn't seem like that would be a sensible way to run a business - and I'm sure you'd all object if the prices didn't drop when the price of oil falls.

I guess the next time the interest rate rises - and hence the mortgage rates go up - you'll all be picketing outside the banks?

True Dave but surely the Govt should be trying to help. They know that if the cost rises then it's more tax for them and they therefore couldn't give a monkeys!

I feel sorry for people people are low earners as the cost of just going about your business is getting silly! The picketing outside the banks is a great idea although I won't be bothering as I don't have a mortgage.....:p

My understanding was they recently put up fuel tax by around 1.32 pence? I thought the price of fuel fluctuated on an almost daily basis and doesn't change that often on the pumps.
