Thought I'd been scammed again, but just someone using pics of my car

After a scam with a compressor on Ebay I had a quick look, as I do every night, on the Racecarsdirect web site, and at the top was my car... seemingly for sale. Closer inspection shows they had just used some pics of my Toyota engined one, mixed in with some pics of their turbo car, which they are selling. I daren't buy a third, but if someone wants to go seriously quickly in something beautifully engineered, then this is the boyo.

It does that from time to time, but not as badly as it used to! I saw the engine in development, but was unaware it was now finished and running. There was supposed to be a full resume of the engines gestation period in Racecar Engineering, and they took photos and made notes. I miss the odd issue, but have seen no reference to it. Was a very interesting concept, they had terrible problems with a Russell Savory 2.4 V8 they put in it, and cost them a fortune, they decided it was cheaper to build their own engine :) I say video of it on the engine dyno and it sounded and looked spectacular. I hadn't realised the car had run with it in, so I'll perhaps get in touch and see how it progressed. The team that own it are sure game to take on some expansive engine projects. The RST-V8 was an expensive bit of kit (*hit?) http://www.mountuneonline.com/searchresult.aspx?categoryid=206 It ran OK 'ish in a Caterfield, but in a proper race car problems became apparent

http://www.metacafe.com/watch/106865/rst_v8_bedford/ probably the most expensive engine to grace on of these things ever ;)

Savory made bespoke heads as well, in the end, it was a mega project, that Mountune then helped finance, but I suspect they wish they'd not got involved. From what I hear it's been a financial disaster. Shame, the concept was sound and some very bright people have worked on it.

As for the 4 pot 1500 cc turbo that's in the car now, time will tell. If it works reliably I could be tempted to sell the Opel engined Zeus and put one in the Toyota engined (later) car.
