RICHARDA
Hi all I know a few of you know about these things (Tom, Mike etc) and wondered if anyone can offer any advice over which camera to choose between. I currently use a compact (Pentax optio s40) and want to upgrade to an SLR alike, either the Fuijifilm S9600 or the Panasonic FZ18. Anyone have any experience of either? They seem to be pitched at the same level ish. However the main practical differences for me seem to be that the Fuiji uses AA bats but the Panasonic does not however the Panasonic does have image stabilization. All comments welcome. regards Rich
MrDriver
If you want to buy a budget digital slr, then the Nikon D40 is very good. If you have more budget I recomment the Nikon D80 or D200 (D300 is just outand is even better but still pricy). - Peter -
