osso
Think you should start by paying £10 for your mkivsupra.net membership fee first

Pete
14 year old - with a £250-£300 phone? Unreal. WTF does a 14 year old need with a phone anyway? It reminds me of one of our clients that bought his daughter a Prada phone. Ridiculous.

Guest Blata
Well in your opinion a 14 year old with a phone that costs that amount, why is that a problem or is jealousy a many headed thing. My daughter means the world to me so she can have it if I can afford it Keep your petty thinking to your own space Peter or are you aborn again *******
Supragal
O2 is bad because it's a cr@ppy network, I think you're insane buying a £270 phone for a 14 year old! I wouldn't even want a phone that costs that much!!!!

Thanks 14 year old daughter sounds rather spoilt if she's getting a several hundred pound phone bought for her. It's about £270 on an 18 month contract isn't it? Class One
Buy that phone for your daughter and I expect she'll be robbed within the week. If her safety is of paramount importance then i would suggest buying her the crappiest least desired phone on the market on a PAYG contract so she can keep in touch. No-one will want to steal a shite phone, but they'll beat the living crap out of her for an I-phone.

hoff
I understand you want to get your daughter something nice but im guessing she has a phone and probably an I-pod or mp3 player. If so then no need;)
Guest Blata
She has had phones before and never been mugged I feel there is a tad to much judgement on other people here I have received an infraction for calling someone a wicked name Do you not think you moderators should get a life, the fact I am beilg slated for looking after my daughter is poor form. All I suggested was Peter should stop worrying about my daughter and her possesions

far
to be fair to BLATA I dont think he was asking if 'he should buy an I-phone for his daughter' but actually what 'the best way is to acquire one out of contract'. Its up to him if he buys one for her or not therefore I feel opinions on whehter its bad or good are not necessarily relevant to this thread or his question. Maybe its her 'top' xmas present. If we earn good money - why not spend it on our loved ones if they deserve it? Maybe she deserves it for reasons we dont know about etc. As for the safety aspect, well thats conditional on so many factors, again irrelevent to the subject topic BLATA - I would suggest either ebay or an upgrade (if you are eligable on one of your contracts), Might also be worth checking if its cheaper buying one with a contract (considering monthlys) or out of contract. marbleapple
People like you and your spoilt offspring ruined it. - Don't hold back mate will you! Blata: there are a lot of things wrong with the Iphones at the mo so you might be better waiting a few months. You need to be registered on Itunes, have a credit card, etc. unlocking it from 02 also prevents the phone from obtaining updates which would be important. I would also point out that on pay as you go it is unlikely she would be able to access half the stuff since it requires mobile internet etc
