dazla
After a week of trying not to worry what this strange smell was coming from my supe, I decided to go to the garage and check my exhaust out. Explained to the guys that It absolutly stinks after driving the car for 5 minutes, and smells like its coming from underneath. They got it on the ramps to find a big plastic bag had got stuck around my exhaust and melted it to death:rolleyes: I felt like a bloody idiot and spent 20 minutes scraping all the plastic off. Has anyone else ever had this problem because its a 1st for:d

JustGav
I hit a plastic bucket once in an old car, and it stuck the exhaust, STANK for ages until I eventually gave up on the idea that it would burn off, and like you I got the scraper out... Daston
not quite but in my MR2 I had this loud beeping sound every few minuets and after 2 days got so fed up with it I decided to go to toyota. Went out for a blat with their cheif tech and he was poking speakers, head under the dash etc and we couldnt work out where it was comming from. Got home and 10min later my mate rings me up "uh hi dude have I dropped my phone in your car the other night?" "Dosnt beep by anychance when you have a message?" "yeah thats the one" Could have killed him
Sparky
Your a star for mentioning this. My car stunk on the first night of fitting my new miami gt exhaust (From Ivan), and have just remembered that he told me there was some plastic stuck to it from a previous melted bag accident. Doesnt smell anymore and just looked under the car to see that its all gone. Sweet!
