akallis
Hi , i am looking to get some work done on my engine for my tt supra jap spec auto , is it advisable for it to be towed?
absz
hi mate if u towing the car its advisable to unbolt and remove propshaft then u can tow it as far as u like without winding the oil pressure up in your gearbox which can cause it to fail. or if u have a suspended tow system then lift the rear of the car to tow (if your bumper allows that)
Bobbeh
The owners manual doesnt recommend towing your Supra. Flatbed truck only
paul mac
does'nt the manual say tow no more than 30 miles, i may be wrong and remembering a car from my distant past here, phone toyota they should know
Thorin
I seem to remember the ONLY advisable towing method was to have the rear wheels on a dolly off the ground and tow backwards.
Robert
i recently got my auto supra towed and the tow guy said the best way to tow a supra or any rear wheel car was to get all 4 wheel off the ground and on the back of a truck, its the safest way. paul mac
yep just got the manual out fella, it states "do not tow for long distances and do not exceed 50 km/hr" so unless your just towing it round the corner i would'nt bother
