banni_supra
This may seem like a stupid question to most, but i have a n/a supra and just reading some threads alot of them when asking for advice on mods alot have said keep standard air box is this simply because it breathes better than a induction system or is there more to it than this ?? thanks
colsoop
Some of the aftermarket induction kits tend to filter very porrly letting dirt and grit through. The other issue is heat, i haven't seen many people properly shield their filter from the heat of the engine bay and so they are sucking in warm air and losing you power. I had one in the past and you could feel a huge difference in the middle of summer, but with the stock airbox i feel almost no drop off ! colsoop
I imagine you could use one of the better induction kits if you wanted to but you would have to look at shielding it. I posted up the dimensions to make an air box if you are handy with the tools: HERE
