Dont mean to act dumb james but never driven an auto before yesterday how do i do that

There should be a button under the accelerator pedal, press pedal all the way to the floor resulting in kickdown.

Do it with engine off to get feel the button, or just get on your knees a look .

Cheers lads il try that tmrw a couple of times its done that maybe my seats too far back does it matter if o/d or manu is on or off

o/d is 4th gear.

Manu mode on allows you to shift gears like a manual.

Do a search all will be explained. The search button is found at the top. Or click on the word manu

TIP: In an auto if you kick down at 45-55mph it is superb as well as 80 or 100 mph! :)

Make sure MANU is off (no manu light on dash) as this is used for safe driving in rain/wet conditions, this stops the gears changing down and you can't kick down.

Not booting it off a roundabout will also stop the box changing down.

:yeahthat: I find that keeping things simple and not messing around with MANU mode etc etc when it's wet is the easiest way to keep control - just be sensible. :) There's no magic button that'll give you more grip in the wet, and the only way the auto box will kick down is if you tell it to.

once u learn the autobox you will know when the right time to press the accelerator to make it go. To feel plenty of power when u come to a stop, press the accelerator to the floor without any hesitating and it will move, if u hesitate and lift off slightly it will change up a gear and not feel so fast!

no need to mess with the manu or overdrive buttons.

Hi guys got my sz auto aerotop yesterday but if im just cruising slow and boot it it tends to say in the same gear for a while how do i get it to go instantly when i want?

i had exactly this problem many moons ago in a 200sx it turned out the feckin floor mat had slid under the throttle pedal and on depressing the loud pedal it would not make the kickdown switch
