RedM
We have one of these in our flat. Normally whne we flush the loo it whirrs away for a bit then stops. Lately it's been whirring for longer. Tonight it didn't stop until we flushed again. Then it didn't cycle. I open the back of the surround and water was leaking from the top of the unit. We (bravely/foolishly) flushed again and it cycled like it normally would and doesn't appear to be leaking any more. Any ideas what happened? Havard
There may have been something stuck in the discharge pipe that has taken a bit to shift!! Typically they should just chop all the shit () up and discharge it out of the pipe. Other thing could have been an airlock in the discharge pipe! The company I work for has this as one of our products! If it's working ok then I wouldn't worry about it but it may be "strike one" if you know what I mean! What make is the macerator unit? H. Thorin
So it's a blender in your toilet to make poo smoothies before it gets flushed away? Perhaps it just can't cope with a particularly large evacuation? Kebab the night before or something?

RedM
Have you had any power cuts recently Martin? Not that I know of. Do power cuts effect them then?
Big Ads
Not that I know of. Do power cuts effect them then? Yes, but only during the power cut IIRC, it can cause poo water to rise up in your shower cubical, not the nicest sigh/smell in the morning. Ah! Ours is only connected to the loo so no risk of a sh1t shower!
Havard
Don't ask H. Why?? Martin, let me know if you need a new one as I will "aquire" one for you mate!! These can be quite expensive to replace too. Just seen our list price!! No point working for a pump company if you can't help your sarcastic Yorkshire cousins!! H.
