Testing the water - HKS Super Dragger Exhaust

Jamesy

Recommended Posts

Just testing the water to see if anyone is interested in my exhaust....

I have a 3" bore HKS Super Drager exhaust. Its a very nice exhaust that gives a nice deep sound (very throaty on full throttle), but not overly loud - on the motoway you can hardly hear it which might please some people on hear that dont like the constant drone on the motorways!! James @ ToyotaGT has welded on a very small plate at the lowest part of the pipe (not the backbox itself) for extra protection, to avoid any holes appearing if you get the occassional scrape on a speed bump!!

Its a 5" pipe at the back as per the picture below:

Offers welcome (via pm if you want) ...... what i want is a boost logic exhaust so trying to see if i can afford it!! :D

Slightly off topic but i like what u have done with the doors by removing the handles how easy of a job was it. :)

thanx mate - i blieve its around £350 to remove handles and smooth them out, then about £300 to insert TVR poppers under wing wirrors and wire it all in ;)

sorry off topic, but stunning car Jamesy.

Whats that air intake like thing in place of the rear windows you have removed. IS it an air intake (assume it isn't as supras have engines at the front)? Excuse my ignorance just not seen that before.

Thanx fella.

Nar not an air intake thingy, just a side mounted vent. The rear windows have been removed and this has been blended in in-place of the windows - more for looks than anything else ;)

In my opinion, the BL sounds much nicer than the Nur Spec R. (I've had both.) They're both loud, but the Nur Spec R, while only a bit quieter, is really droney and much more annoying on the motorway.

Now I've sold my BL, I'm thinking my TRD exhaust is too quiet!! There's no pleasing some people... ;)

No way that expensive, I had the handles smoothed on a previous car, cost 200 inc spraying etc and then I got a local car audio shop to fit a little button under the wing mirror and have it working off my alarm fob, which cost another 100! I take it you didn't pay that anyway as they were smoothed when you bought the car weren't they?

i was quoting a price that another member had given as a guide price...if you've had it done then your price above is prob a lot more accurate ;)
