Gaz6002
I've had Ostrich and have to agree with the above, it's lovely! They make a big omlette too lol. I'm going to have to try GBK... i've paid a lot more than their prices in the past and have been less than impressed. Luckily there is one less than 5 mins walk from my office
MrRalphMan
You lot are spoilt with your late meal programme You're having a laugh Dean, we're ops and don't qualify for anything like that.... Been waiting for the call to come up and get the left overs from the exec dining dude... I'm on nights tonight... hint hint.
juanchan
I've tried ostrich too, and I honestly didn't really enjoy it that much. It was just a tough, and pretty bland, dark meat when compared to a decent fillet steak. It was nice, just not "ooh, look at me paying extra for an exotic animal's meat" nice. tbourner
Ooh sounds good!! Nearest one to me is Brighton though!!! Harvester charge about £9 for a burger and chips, but again it's no ordinary burger, the bacon burger is pretty much a beef steak and a gammon steak in a bun, I had to use a knife and fork!!! Sounds as though you need to try it again but somewhere where the chef can cook

Ewen
Wifelet and I go to the one just down from St Pauls Cathedral every once in a while. Cant beat a medium fillet, but we have never had a bad time there. Incidentaly, I had my first Wagyu steak last weekend. Anyone else tried it yet ? Supposedly fed on beer and massaged regularly before being bopped in the head....bloody expensive and rather strong. Tastes wierd.

Scott
ooo missed this thread first time round. Red, was the almost £30 taking account of the refund or was that what you would have paid? Also, 8" high? Sounds like someone has been telling the Mrs porkie pies
supra_aero
The cost for two burgers, 2 x fries and 2 x shakes: £29.10:blink: Of your review, thats the line which stands out the most
michael
Of your review, thats the line which stands out the most Drop the shakes but other than that it's worth every penny, even more so if you use the voucher I posted above.
supra_aero
Actually I've been there a few times its not that bad. Not sure its worth the cost though.
Supragal
I went to one in Basingstoke. They are ok. Not sure how long they will be around though? Too pricey for a burger IMHO. It was good for a burger though, the garlic mayo repeated on me for a long time though, that was not nice. The milkshakes are brilliant. Mmmm. stevie_b
... the garlic mayo repeated on me for a long time though, that was not nice. You get to savour the flavour several times: great! I've been to the Basingstoke one too: I agree it's tasty, and I don't think it's *that* expensive. I reckon they're several rungs up from McD's (although I might have just fallen for some clever marketing and presentation)
