Metallikev
Just some advice really if you can, i've got a small nail in the rear tyre of the supe, i'll post a pic below, if you can have a look and see if you think it can be repaired or not. It seems a bit to close to the side wall to me but if there's any tyre people on the forum that can give me any advice as to whether to get a new tyre or whether it can be plugged. Cheers in advance Kev
jim_supra
Sorry that can't be repaired, you wouldn't be able to get a patch in and get it sealed properly.
Metallikev
Now worries Jim, cheers for getting back to me, worth asking before i order a new tyre Kev
juanchan
Why not just take it to a tyre repairer who will tell you for definite if it can be repaired?!

Masenko
I had a hole like that repaired in February. Just took it down to Kwik Fit! Was in approximately the same location as well.
neil tt
Doesn't look to close to the edge, but I'm not a tyre fittter:)
Metallikev
Yeah i'm planning on taking it to a type place tomorrow, see what they say, just wondered if anyone on here knew if it could be repaired or not, guess i'll find out tomorrow. I guess if a couple of you have had similar repairs done then i'll keep my fingers crossed, cheers guys Kev
fri3ndly
I was under the impression it was illegal to repair a tyre unless it was in the centre, and that looks too close to the edge to me. I had a nail in that kind of position and had to get a replacement tyre. No good for going high speeds with a damaged tyre either.
scottysupra
I would of said thats not repairable im afraid at work im told that a nail has to be an inch away from the side of the tyre to be repaired thats too close to the sidewall and will be unsafe to plug. Metallikev
Yeah this is my thought, i was thinking even if the tyre place said it could be repaired i'd always have that doubt at the back of my mind at high speed, will see tomorrow anyway . New tyre is cheaper than a high speed blow out methinks
