Look in the Classified section and see how many of the high priced Supra's have been for sale for - literally - months. I also disagree with the (very simple) theory that if we all increased the prices we sold our cars at (if such a thing was possible) that this would increase the market price. It would simply mean that potential buyers would buy other cars and none of us would be able to sell. Believe it or not - the Supra is not the best car in the world ever. Maybe the reason they are for sale for longer is the higher you price your car, the smaller target audience you have? i always believe there is someone that will pay top dollar for your car if they like it enough. If someone wants a Supra they will more than likely buy one..... if it costd a bit more money people would either save for longer on extend loans etc, where possible.I'm not saying lets all price our cars at £25k, but when i see cheap TT's for sale i think its a shame and de-valuves the true nature of the beast. It bored me, I'd had a Supra before which I liked and I decided that I could easily afford the running costs so why not get rid of the focus and buy one as a daily car. So I did. BUT - part of the reason I did that was because they are cheap. If it would have cost me £10k or £15k to buy one, I simply wouldn't have done it. I can afford to pay that - but if I was spending £10k or £15k on a car, it would not be a 10-15 year old Toyota. And that's what I meant. There might be a few people who MUST have a supra, and would do what they can to have one. But that's not most people. Most people will look at them and think : nice car, and for the current price it's a bargain. However - add £10K on and a lot of those buyers will think : nice car, but for the same money I could have a new / 1 year old / 2 year old . The classics were usually popular in their day, and well-recognisable. If the supra is more popular now, it might help it to become a classic later on. I see where both of you are coming from but what else could you buy for £10k that looks as good as a supra, is as reliable and as powerful. Granted they are getting old but there's not that many alternatives. I do think prices will gradually go down but they seem to have suddenly dived, look in the for sale section. I wouldn't hazard a guess as to how many Supes will be killed before spring 2008. As they become rarer the value will go up. So keep crashing everybody and I'll be in profit.
