Jun Super Lemon Top Speed

I know i am not talking about a Supra here, But i want to tell all you guys and girls about this as well.

After a lot of talking and thinking with Tweenirob. We were going to try and get in the top 5 of the 0 to 300 klm skyline records. which it would of done.

We both have decided to go full out on a top speed record.

Gonna change the diffs and turbos and aero work and go full out for 250 mph.

The Jun Super Lemon as you may know was a sister car for the Hyper Lemon.

All the parts were developed in the Super Lemon for the Hyper Lemons top speed runs in the 49th Bonneville Speed Trials. JUN Hyper Lemon R33 made a new world record of 383.715km/h in the F/BGCC Class.

Which is 383.715 kilometer/hour = 238.429 447 029 mile/hour (mph)

So now the Super Lemon is going for its sister cars record.

This is the next step i am going to do with the car. Its done its 9 second pass.

Its done its 0 to 1 mile 200 mph.

I just need a challenge.

And i think this is the one.

Lot of work to do over the winter not just to the car . But to sort a venue out that will have a big long straight. I would like to see a 4 to 5 mile straight to be safe to do this.

Anyway that's the crack with the Lemon.

Good luck with this Mick. Shame you haven't developed that fine Supe of yours into a drag monster, perhaps that could be your next goal if you acheive this one. Would have liked to have chatted to you at the hotel at TOTB, but didn't want to intrude.

Good luck with the project. :)

Jeezzzz mate you should of come over and had a chat.

I get my Supra back from the body shop on Saturday morning. I can't wait. Feels like one of my legs has dropped off without that car. Some dick head in a waggon hit the side of her. Nothing major but enough to mess her up. Gonna do the biggest burn out ever when i get her back lol.

Good luck with this mate. Saw the car down Perfect Touch the other day and it was lookin very impressive. Are you going to get them to do the work?

Hi Pete.

Yea Tweenirob does the car as well as my Supra now. He is very good.

I need to sort the Supra out now get some pistons and rods in her just to make it safe.

yeah im starting to use Perfect touch for all the work on my Supra now. Good bunch of guys down there and been very impressed with the work they've done so far. Think the'll be doing my single conversion if i don't have a go myself. Will at least get Rob to do the mapping. Take it you'll be there for the rolling road in a couple of weeks?

How come this sort of record isnt being tried with a supra, i mean you have more litreage to start with so shouldnt that make it a better platform to begin with? or is it that the RB blocks are alot stronger? Similary, wouldnt something like an 8 litre dodge viper be something else that would be a better platform than both? i mean a big dirty turbo on an 8 litre engine would be unreal
