michael
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/7085394.stm Are any of the eastside Supra massive under threat?

RedM
I've been watching the news and it's all London, flood, London, flood, London, flood ad infinitum. What about the places up here that have warnings in place? Still, if London doesn't flood I can still get my fix with THIS!

Jspec Germany
Jeez, I just read that flood waters are forcasted to be 10ft over normal and the entire east coast is under flood warming. I hope all of our members in those areas have a plan. I'd hate to see a "my supra was lost in the flood" thread.
jim_supra
I live on the east coast, am not worried though, as I doubt it will be more than a foot or two over normal. But, if it does happen The supra will be safe and sound as I live in the highest part of the town.
jamesmark
Listening on the radio this morning on the way to work, interviewing people that may be affected and quite a few of them admitting that they are really worried as they have no insurance. And we're meant to feel sorry for these people? Is it just me or is something like home contents/buildings insurance on the same par as motor insurance, an absolute must? No, we shouldn't feel sorry for people who haven't bothered to get insurance, But I do feel sorry for those who have tried to get insurance and been refused as they live in a flood risk area. Guigsy
10ft over normal Stop reading The Sun. 10ft is 3 meters. They have said about 2.5 absolute maximum and more likely about 1.9.
AndrewOW
If you saw the pictures from the 'Skycopter' on Sky News this morning, the tide didn't look much higher than a normal one. Good to see the surfers enjoying themselves!
Ark
Radio 2 just said on the news that the storm was producing less swell than expected. So in other words it was all a load of cobblers that the media inflated to make a story.

Very true, one of the guys that I work with was telling em that it was on the news how some insurance companies will cover people in flood areas, but they set their excess at £10,000. So basically they feck them both ways.

Ark
He is actually - he was on the radio a couple of weeks back, apparently he is going to come back and do the occasional high-profile forecast.
AndrewOW
He is actually - he was on the radio a couple of weeks back, apparently he is going to come back and do the occasional high-profile forecast. And, of course, the 'popular' BBC2 tv programme 'Identity'. Which unfortunately, due to unpopularity, has been taken off air.
Pete
they set their excess at £10,000.. Much cheaper than the depreciation of trying to move house I expect.
