Hi There

Bit of a long shot this one, one of my colleagues has changed the language setting to Arabic (I think) when getting it out of his pocket by pressing alt enter by accident.

the thing is now locked and wants the password or the word blackberry in Arabic

Anyone know a way of changing the language back or indeed know the key sequence to enter blackberry in arabic

all help appreciated really stuck

oh dear you will have fun. right now I think Blackberry in Arabic is:

عليق

the best pic i can find of an arabic keyboard is this:

I have had a similar problem with one of my blackberry users. but i run a BES system here, so just plugged the blackberry in and re-imaged it.

Wrong password 5 or 10 times will reset it to factory (including language) defaults, and then you can re-activate it. If memory serves.

thats true. but i dont think it counts the amount of times you get Blackberry wrong. Because if you get that wrong it assumes there is a problem with the keyboard rather than someone breaking into to actual handset.
