LeeT
you're going to have to get a 17mm hex head socket and a long breaker bar

merckx
I know it's a bit late now. I had the same problem on my 3.5 tonne van, the bolts were extremely tight, this was because of the locking compound on the thread. I warmed it up a little with the blowtorch - much easier! Chris Wilson
They can't be THAT tight, they are only piddling little things, I can shear a bolt that size with a standard 1/2 drive ratchet handle. They undo the conventional way, anti clockwise looking at the bolt head. If you are struggling with those don't bother trying to do a cambelt change
Whitesupraboy2
cheeky Bugger basically it was coz i was using a normal spanner! put a circle head one on it, tap of mallet...straight undun Im not joking when i say with the normal spanner i was hanging on it with body off floor!
