Guest Grinder
I was there on the day this was done and it was definately 200 mph. There were 3 of them in the car and it was no bs. No one brags about doing 200 kph (125 mph), that skyline was one of the most heavily modded in the country and the engine blew the following year I seem to remember. Nick
I know of this guy... its a genuine 650hp skyline r34 rebuilt will all nismo parts... think he spent arround 35k plus on it..... had allot of problems with it though You won't get anywhere near 650BHP using just Nismo parts. Even if you went to the Omori factory the most you could drive away with is 450PS with the R1 package. http://www.nismo.co.jp/shop/shop/omori/engine/r1/index.html Next time he should try a run without the 180kph factory limiter fitted. Nick
This is more like 180mph. Takes a couple of minutes before the action starts. http://paranoid.dip.jp/youtube/video/aD45tktcucE
jevansio
One thing to note, whenever I've rewatched any videos of myself, the camera doesn't half take the feeling of speed away, go down a round @ 150 leptons & record it, when you play it back on a computer screen it sure won't look like 150. The leading cars footage seems a little speeded up IMO, but its banzai fast and no doubt. on public roads as well Loonies
