Pick up new car tonight..

Well i'm finally collecting my new car tonight after driving round in the lovely astra for last 4 months since selling the supra :(

The badge i'm sure isnt gona be liked by many on here but it fits perfectly with what im looking for from a car for the next year or so while i get my housing situation sorted.

Have bought a black 2001 325i sport with black leather and 75k. Nice drive over to wales later to collect. Was looking for either a 325 or a 330 and also looked at a few 530 sports, but after a few test drives of the 5 decided the 3 was more me.

The steering wheel cover has been removed! at least it was perfect nick underneath and the windscreen sticker is coming off to, dont think a Greddy sticker is best suited on this!

Hopefully now i have a car i'm not worried about doing journey's in i can come along to a couple of meets to catch up with some of you again. Yes yes, i can park it round the corner so as not to ruin any photos being taken ;) :D

Cannot wait to give it the full Meguiars treatment on friday, (booked day off) paint work is in very good nic, but i know i can really bring it to life with a day of work.

Yeah, cheers Heckler! :D

Drove so well compared to a lot of others i have looked at. Has full bmw history apart from the last done 100 miles ago by a specialist. Has 19" AC Schnitzer alloys with brand new tyres, eibach shocks and springs all round and the angel eyes have been changed to a brighter more blue colour.

Oh the X5 Burna, tell you what, i really enjoyed that car. I swapped it a few days later for an 06 535d, now that car was a lot of fun, it pulled like a train. Had that for about a month.

Getting excited about later, just not looking forward to the 2 1/2 drive to swansea!

:D Was funny, I remember saying to my passenger after you pulled out in front of me "I don't believe it! He's actually going for it!" as I noticed you slowly picking up speed :rlol: Trust me to bite and hit the loud pedal so I could fly by like you were going back wards, BMW drivers bring out the lout in me sorry  When you eventually pulled into the petrol station I couldn't help but smile :innocent:

When you came over and asked if I was Burna  For a split second I had a crazy thought that I must be on some kind of BMW driver hit list!

Glad to have met you that day, you have to be the most friendliest BMW driver I have ever met :D

I have a question for someone in the know.

The guy bought Eibach lowering springs for the car. It currently has these on the front with the normal Mtec dampers. When he fitted the rear lowering springs and had 2 people in the back it used to catch on the rear arches (they could be rolled/shaved i know) So he has put the standard springs along with the normal Mtec dampers on the back. Is it really bad to have the lowered springs only on the front in terms of handling. He has given me the rear eibach springs.

Have to say, it handles very well, but just wondered.
