AndyT
Old enough to remember when it went up 2p a gallon there was civil unrest... Sign of the times and complacency I'm afraid..
michael
I paid £103.9 at Tesco last week, glad I don't use the Supra that much but even the normal diet petrol is silly money. Mad to thing people were blocking petrol refineries when it was much cheaper but now nobody seems too fussed.

It certainly seems to have jumped up, last time I filled the Supra up it was 98.9, not sure what's happened, I've been too busy worrying about the price of pork to be honest. CJ
Petrol isn't stupid cheap here either as I pay about 1 euro (0.70p ish) per litre. But as the island is so small you do not need a lot in a week.

Chewie
Look at the bright side. It will weed out the chavvie owners and ensure that only those rich enough to own a Supe will be able to.

If we tried to do the same - we would all be arrested.
Pete
Mad to thing people were blocking petrol refineries when it was much cheaper but now nobody seems too fussed. That because a law was passed making it an act of terrorism (or something similar) to do so. See Dougs comments about removing your civil liberties. colsoop
You can criticise the french for a lot of things but they would have blockaded the docks by now if it was the same their side of the water.
Dave
its because we as a nation let this government shit on us and dont do anything . we should follow the french peoples example if they dont like something every road port etc etc gets blocked. the amount of ways gorgon brown has thought of to squeeze more cash out of the british people is obscene .mate of mine is swedish and they think that britian is going way over the top with this global warming crap [another money spinner for the gorgon brown boys. Spot on mate, couldn't agree with you more. Makes my blood boil everytime as why we have to pay so much when everyone else gets it cheaper. I can afford to pay it but i hate the feeling that u are being robbed and can not do anything about it.
Chris and Alana
The local BP garage at mine recently turned into a shell garage but then when I went to fill up with V-power I found out it was 112.9p/l I thought they were having a laugh, it only costs about 103.9 or something at a shell garage about 3-4miles away. Anyway I filled up and then discovered that my local tesco extra (about1-2miles away) now sells 99ron fuel and it's only 100p/l (no 0.9 or anything and exact £1/l) I was well chuffed and have found myself a new garage. So, only £1.00 per litre? That sort of explains the problem in Britain right now. We are so used to getting ripped off that we now view slightly less rip off prices as "bargains". But as the island is so small you do not need a lot in a week. Think you'd have to go back quite a while to pay only 70p a litre in the UK. I can remember paying less for a gallon Its 96.9 here in south B'ham 95 RON
