Charlotte
You might be on to something there. We only ever eat the two together on New Years Eve as we are too old and grumpy to go out. Doomed. Next you'll be telling me you watch folk on a friday night.

DaveK
Wrong? How can it be wrong? It's very right. Very. Right. It's acceptable - but "very right" is an exaggeration. And I tend to agree that cauliflower cheese is better.

Cauliflower and cheese are two savoury things, this argument is about sweet and savoury - keep up.

juanchan
What about the Xmas cake and cheese thing they do up here in t'North? What?! It sure does! xmas cake and a slab of cheese. mmmmmmmmmm lovely. Eh? I'm from t'North, and I agree with Rob - I've never heard of Christmas cake with cheese!! There should be too much marzipan and icing/chocolate to be faffing about with the cheese slicer! Mayonnaise goes well on roast potatoes though, and some cranberry sauce is good with turkey.
