turbonut
Went out the house this morning to see the supra covered in ash Decided a gentle wipe down would remove the worst of it until I could wash it, then I found the real damage...tiny pin holes in the paintwork in places, right down to the metal!!! Not too much but enough for me to notice I spent most of the afternoon washing, polishing and cleaning it inside and out and those marks were definitley NOT there yesterday afternoon. Whats worse is, more bl@@dy fireworks and bonfires tonight!!! I dont have the luxury of a garage, he has to stay on the drive. Lx

Pete
Old sheet? It's not going to be windy tonight, a door mat on the front windscreen/rear window and bricks on the edges by the floor ought to keep it down.
michael
If you do put a cover or sheet over the car make sure you wet it - the last thing you need is the car on fire because of your protection.

ShamelessTT
This happen to me a while back (diff car tho). I woke up in the morning, found a rocket casing on a stick about 3 feet behind my car. On closer inspection there was a decent sized dent in the roof and a small scuff.

Chewie
It's the sulphur in the gunpowder combining with water in the air to form sulphuric acid that eats into the paint. It'll probably eat into the cover.
