T2 MSW
Whooooo confirmed a new job today. Moving from a current technical Analyst which really is of no intrest to me to a Consultant for a solutions company. Can't wait!! One big issue though, Job involves lots of travel. I dont want to put the miles on the sup so it going to have to be relegated to a toy Which means the car allowance is going to come in useful for a new car. Looking at leasing so really I can have trouble free motoring as I need the reliability. Does anyone have any sugestions!?

T2 MSW
Will 100% go for a diesel and have been looking at the passats - got a friend that works for VW leasing so going to speak to him. The audi's are really nice but a bit on the expensive side.

CJ
Personally, I would not lease or contract hire. If you buy correctly, (and depending on the amount you have as a car allowance), you can make extra money on that monthly amount. Without being the harbinger of doom, I would also be worried about entering a 12 month lease based on a new position. What if it goes tits up? You then have a lease that you have to fund and you would have to find a job that pays a car allowance. If you buy a car out of the allowance, you can always sell should the job not meet your expectations.

T2 MSW
Cheers Guys. Very sensable CJ, im looking at all the options, lease is the one I know the least about but was goign to cost it out over a year or two and work out which option is the cheapest. Unless I can get a really good leasing deal I think im going to be going down the purchasing route anyway.

Guest Killer Heels
Ha too late! I did suggest that but he didn't buy it. I think the girly red leather puts him off - oh and the plate Think he is excited, should have seen him jumping round the lounge when he was offered it. Damn should have asked for something expensive whilst he was in the best mood he's been in for years! K x
