miko_supra
well it wasn't in the supra thank god. It was in my 306. just went out for a nice meal with kirsty (the girlfriend) and we popped back to hers to pick up some stuff and then to head back to mine. I came up to a mini round about where it was my right of way where this bmw shot passed barely misssing me, followed by a 106 that went straight into me. It wasnt too bad as we were both braking. Anyway after a few seconds of shaking fists and what not, we parked up and climbed out. i said are you ok etc lets exchange details. Then this big ol' fucker (about 35 yrs old) from the bmw come running over the road screaming at me, all guns blazing accusing me of using the road like a rally track by not stopping! I tried to just ignore him and try and just get the details sorted with the other driver (about 19 yrs old) so kirsty comes out of the car to see what the confrontation was all about, and then he starts having a go at her calling her every name under the sun. Truley discusting language. then the young kid started joining in (106 driver) and im like ok what the hell is going on, this is abit OTT. the big guy then says he's going to call the police. and i said what is the point as its a minor accident that could be sorted through insurance. Blah blah blah. i managed to exchange details to find the big guy was then threating to kill kirsty so i stepped in. which is then when he punched me in the throat. Oh lovely people. so yeah come to slough everyone its pretty kewl

Homer
You really need to report this to the police. Did you get details of both drivers or their car reg plates?
miko_supra
i got the details of the car i crashed into, but not the bmw. but he definatley knew the young driver and they were both in footy gear. There is absolutley no point what so ever round this shite hole of reporting anything to the poilice. my friend was bottled in the fac once on his own door step, the police came round 45 mins later, and the ambulance never came. and the police have never contacted him since.. to be honest i really just wanted to leave. the bmw driver had definatly been drinking. no one in their right mind acts like that when sober. Hopefully it will be something that they will simply forget about. my car is absolutley fine and the 106 had some kind of headlight cover that broke in half. I just can't believe how out of hand it all got. It makes me scared to think what would happen if it was just simply kirsty by herself

Havard
Bloody hell! I wouldn't have reacted well to that one mate. You really need to report this to the Police whether you think they'll do anything or not. This prick can't go around throwing his weight about! It's a shame you didn't get his reg as things would be a lot easier. Are you also saying that they both cut you up coming to a roundabout? H. Scoboblio
Horrible story. If there's even a slim chance that the police will do something, report it. You owe it to that t**ts next potential victim.

stevie_b
That's a terrible turn of events. You should report it. If nothing comes of it and they can't trace the idiot, you haven't lost anything.
miko_supra
Playing Devil's Advocate here but you got assaulted, your girlfriend was threatened and you aren't reporting it to the police. My sympathies are with you but are we getting the full story? trust me i know it sounds a little strange about his reaction. *but it was my right of way, *i was being totally reasonable and polite ( i just wanted to get his details and go) *My insurance, licence, mot is all valid and 100% but that is literally what happened. As i went over to the bloke to exchange details the other guy came over and started shouting at me. so kirsty got out of the car and told him to calm down, to which he replied "shut it love, just get back in the car" (kirsty is not one at all to be spoken to like this) so she obviosuly retaliated (still being calm) and said "excuse me but what did you have to do with this accident any way." To which he then replied, "shut the fuck up you fucking slag, etc etc" you know the rest then he threatened to "lay her out" and that if he ever saw her again he would kill her. She had nothing to do with it! if he had started raging at me like that it would have made some minor piece of sense if he believed the incedent was my fault (and it was not.) So i stepped in front and told him to calm down and grow up, to which he replied with hitting me and then storming off imn the other direction and driving off. (im perfectly fine, to be honest it was the shock that got to me at the time) The other driver involved in the accident said the occasional unconstructive comments and you could tell that the two knew each other. In the past i have gotten no where with the police. and these sort of happenings occur all the time round this area. As i do not have the mans details, nor do i believe the other man will call the insurance company as it was cleary his fault and he has a little cracked headlight lense and i have no damage what so ever, so why would he risk his insurance for this? which will mean the other mans name will never come up. What actually happened in the accident, was that i came up to the mini round about which from the direction they are coming from you can see who is coming from where for a good 100 yards. The bmw shot out infront (wasnt too bothered, missed by a good 2 meteres) but the 106 who litterally just followed the bmw straight out as i was already on the round about and we hit doing probably about 3 mph each in the middle of the round about. Now mistakes happen, no one was hurt so i was perfectly calm, maybe a little shaken up and had not expected the following events to occur. Pete
What kind of shit hole country has this become when you hear stories like this. Someone who gets punched in the throat and thinks there's no point in reporting it as the police won't do anything? So these shit heads will just get away with it and carry on doing similar to other people. It's all so wrong.
AndrewOW
So sorry to hear this. Its a crap system if you don't think its worth calling the police. Just say you thought the bloke looked like a terrorist, or you saw bomb making equipment in his car, then they might do something!

You need to call the police. Firstly, the accident was not your fault as it was your right of way. Secondly they seem to be friends so having the 1st guys details may help. Thirdly, it seemed its more likey they were racing each other. Fourthly, the guy in the beamer had no right sticking his nose in. And finally the guy verbably abused both you and your girlfiend, threatened your girlfiend and assulted you! The guy doesn't have a leg to stand on. But at least you and your girlfriend are ok.
